Our Father And Friend

Ralph Charles Bennette Sr. aka Pops was born on February 23, 1954 in Birmingham, Alabama to John Henry Bennette Sr. and Johnnie Belle Allen. Ralph was one of eight children.

Ralph’s mischievous nature and quest to travel led him to join the service. Pops entered the service first starting with the Airforce then enlisting in the Army where he found his groove and continued to explore his adventurous side while serving his country. While in the service Ralph received awards including expert M16, Marksmanship and Explosives to name a few.

In 1973 Ralph had his first born child and only daughter Flarrie Kimberly Bennette Mahamed.

After a few more assignments, Ralph was honorably discharged from the Army. By mid-1977 he had settled in and made Los Angeles his home and now he has fathered his oldest son Charles Davis and is expecting his second son Jonathan Davis. In 1982 his name sake Ralph Charles Bennette Jr. was born followed by Luchie Bennette in 1983.

In his 65 years on this earth, Ralph held several jobs including a Bodyguard, Chauffer, Bus Driver, Coach and father. In the early 90’s he and Stephanie Bennette co-created and developed Limousine 2000. He served an usher at Crenshaw Christian Center for more than 30 years and in 2011 Ralph graduated from ministry school and began his most prized and beloved job as a Minister.

Ralph loved to cook, play the drums, listen to music, and watch movies and fish. He was a true jack of all trades and would often surprise you with his knowledge of various topics and situations. He also loved his family, dressing in style, his women, his cologne and took his assignment with the Lord very serious and was making changes in his life to be aligned with God up until his last breath.

Ralph will be remembered for the way he dressed and carried himself, his story telling and long conversations and the advice he provided based on his own life experiences and his sense of humor.

On Friday August 30, 2019 Ralph Charles Bennette answered his final assignment from the Lord. Although his body leaves us his spirit is with us daily. Ralph leaves to cherish and celebrate his memory Bettye, James, Alfeta, Brad, John jr, Malcom, Flarrie, Terry, Amir, Charles, Kyra, Jonathan, Ariel, Donovan, Ralph Jr, Jennifer, Desmond, Izzy, Luchie, Sarah, Stephanie, Kathleen, Mary, Murrell, Audrey, Liz Beverly and a host of nieces, nephews other loving family, dear friends and the CCC Family.

Pop's lived his best Life regardless on his terms unapologetic..
