On Monday, January 2, 2023, Carol Whittenberg, a mother of two and dog lover, passed away at age eighty-six.  As an entrepreneur, she owned businesses throughout her life.  She operated a canteen restaurant in the Philippines and traveled extensively around Asia purchasing ready-to-wear clothes and distributing them to boutique stores.  Later, she ran a boarding house before immigrating to America.  As a caregiver in California, she petitioned her family.

She is preceded by her husband, Charles, and daughter, Merc.  She is survived by her daughter, Roline, grandchildren, Maria, Margarita, and Andre, and great grandchild. Her funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 30 at St. Mary's Church in Vacaville at 10am.  Her final resting place will be in Alta Mesa Memorial Park in Palo Alto.
