Dennis W Nakata, 62, Died October 16, 2018 Peacefully in his sleep after battling cancer for the third time.

Dennis was born November 15, 1955 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Hitoshi and May Nakata. He was a longtime resident of Carson, California. This is where he met his wife of 40+ years Robin Meadows. He served with honor 20 years in the United States Marine Corp. In this time, he was a graphic artist and made the rank of gunnery sergeant before retiring and returning to California. He was a family man and loved by many.

He is survived by his wife Robin, son Jason his wife Wendy and their three children Johnathan, Emily, and Elijah, daughter Trish her longtime boyfriend Jerry and their two children Trey and Jaylee, three brothers Robert, Roy, and Wesley, Sister Debbie and their spouses and children. Dennis was a father to many Chris and Breanna Shary, Logan Grogg, Martha Flores, Melinda Potter, John Destiny and their children.

Proceeded in death by his parents, nephew/son Michael Olepau, sister Cindy, brother Nelson, best friend Rod, and Nick Sutherland.

Funeral Service will be held at Bread of Life Christian Center at 20620 Leapwood Ave. #H Carson, CA Friday 10/26 at 5pm.
