How do you find the words to say goodbye to someone who loved so fiercely? Gloria was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend—a unique blend of tough love, unwavering faith, and boundless generosity. Whether she was scouting treasures at a thrift shop or organizing an elaborately themed celebration, she brought vibrant energy to everything she did. As the president and event planner expert of her retirement village, she truly was the life of the community.

Gloria had a passion for travel and a lifelong fascination with watching planes take flight, frequently staying at her favorite airport Marriott just to watch them soar. Her life was defined by hard work and vibrant hobbies. In her earlier years, she owned a cactus & succulent nursery, and for over six decades, her sharp mind made her a dedicated bookkeeper. In her backyard, her love for nature came alive in a custom aviary that once housed over 100 birds, alongside her koi fish pond and beloved dogs. Gloria never hid her feelings; her thoughts were written on her face, and her famous "grumble-groan" sometimes brought laughter to those around her. Though her hair color was her signature trait, her soft blue eyes and shockingly strong hugs were unforgettable. Fiercely independent, the hardest part of her journey was watching her body slow down. At 97, she leaves behind a life fully lived and a family that misses her deeply.

She was predeceased by brother Donald, and son Ernie, and is survived by 3 daughters, (Suzanne, Heather, Ruth), 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren and a wide array of friends. While we cannot bring ourselves to say goodbye, we instead say “see you later” or “until we meet again”. We love you. XO
