Rita Hutt-Jackson (16 May 1934 – 29 January 2026). With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our cherished Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother & Great-Great Grandmother on 29 January 2026. She is survived by her Son Bill and wife Kim of Virginia Beach, daughter Tesbee of Carson, CA and Son Ted and wife Suzanne of Seabrook, New Hampshire; Grand Children William, Jenine, Mandee, Lynsey, Jackson, Theo & Michaela; Great Grandchildren Kevin & Asher, Great-great Grandchildren Niko & Abel. Mom was pre-deceased by her late Husband Charles H. Jackson in October 1994. Rita’s incredible zest for life was something to behold. Her never give up uncompromising nature was something amazing to experience. It just was not in her nature to give in to anything. Her 91 years of adventure were a life well lived. After leaving Naples, Italy in 1961, she travelled the world living in many places while raising her family: Lisbon Falls, ME, Chicago, IL, Memphis, TN, Sigonella, Sicily, Santa Ana, CA, Midway Island, back to Naples, Italy, Garden Grove, CA, Corona, CA, Boston, MA, Virginia Beach, VA and finally Carson, CA. During the war (WWII), Rita, along with her Italian family, survived Nazi occupation and lived to share those experiences with all of us. She really lived an incredible life and captivated all of us. She will be dearly missed. The family is planning a private celebration of life. Any donations to the American Cancer Society on her behalf are encouraged and welcome.
